Stacey's Approach
Stacey's Approach
Stacey utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy that is geared toward self-improvement and personal growth through challenging and often tragic times. She employs therapeutic techniques and interventions that specifically cater to each individual, couple, or family. Confronting core issues versus functioning on the surface will be beneficial in any type of therapeutic session. Clients are encouraged to trust the process as therapy brings an overall increase in personal functioning.
Proactive therapy may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, PsychoEducational Perspective, EMDR, Gestalt techniques, Psychoanalytic, and/or Client-Centered Approach.
Stacey also uses various techniques in assisting clients to build tools and strategies, such as emotional regulation work, anxiety reducers, processing approaches, communication techniques, limit and boundary setting, anger management, and/or co-dependent challenges. She prides herself on being a pro-active therapist that takes every opportunity towards making strides, shifts, and changes; optimizing each individual's potential. Creating a treatment plan, with goals for therapy, will be established at the first session. This plan of action seems to hold clients accountable and encourages motivational techniques that add to the process. Being an active participant in therapy and doing work outside of the therapeutic session (homework that's assigned) will move the counseling in a positive direction. Progress will be seen sooner than later.
Stacey has the awareness to acknowledge and accept various cultural heritages and values. She works with families with members from a mixture of racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds as well as families made up of same-sex couples.
