Stacey's Approach

Stacey utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy, focusing on self-improvement and personal growth during challenging and often tragic times. She employs therapeutic techniques and interventions tailored to each individual, couple, or family. By confronting core issues rather than just surface-level problems, clients benefit from deeper therapeutic sessions. Trusting the process is essential, as therapy brings an overall increase in personal functioning.

Proactive therapy may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychoeducational perspectives, EMDR, Gestalt techniques, Psychoanalytic approaches, and Client-Centered Therapy.

Stacey also uses various techniques to help clients build tools and strategies, such as emotional regulation, anxiety reduction, processing approaches, communication techniques, limit and boundary setting, anger management, and addressing co-dependent challenges. She prides herself on being a proactive therapist, seizing every opportunity to make strides, shifts, and changes to optimize each individual's potential. A treatment plan with therapy goals will be established in the first session. This plan helps hold clients accountable and encourages motivational techniques that enhance the process. Being an active participant in therapy and completing homework assignments will accelerate progress, leading to positive outcomes sooner.

Stacey is aware of and respects various cultural heritages and values. She works with families from diverse racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds, as well as families with same-sex couples.
